One is that it should be checked regularly at it will provide open jobs to apply to. Second, it will list the companies that are open to sponsorship and help you craft a running list of companies to target even if they currently don’t have a posting you are interested in.

Comprehensive job search tool for 16k+ climate tech jobs from 500 companies, updated daily. Also has blog posts that explain the climate landscape and feature in-depth profiles for 50 companies. 

City Data 

City Data gives you information about average cost of living, weather trends, crime reports, etc.  Great resource for out-of-town searches

Database of H1B employees for international students – The database contains state, metro and US-wide H1B records of all companies who have submitted H1B visa applications for the most recent 12-month period available.

H1B Visa Salary is a database containing salary information of H1B Visa.

HIB Grader is a website with additional information about H1B roles

Career search resources outside of the US –  The GoinGlobal database contains resources for finding employment opportunities in more than 40 countries. Resources include: online job sites, employment trends, salaries, legal considerations etc.

H1B Sponsors is another database available for International Students to search for H1B sponsors by cities, states, employers and job title including information of sponsorship and salary level.

Job search strategies outside of on-campus recruiting – Presentation that outlines some key considerations for those who are changing functions during their career search (e.g., moving from marketing to finance)

Unexpected Job Search – Presentation that highlights some basic strategies and tips for those who have recently been laid off/terminated.

Preparing for the consulting job search – A comprehensive checklist that includes specific resources and steps to follow to prepare for the consulting recruiting process.

Use these roadmaps to start designing your customized career search strategy.  These guides highlight many common career activities that you will likely encounter, and place them along a specific timeline for Carlson’s different student populations.  Although there will be some unique challenges and specific questions for you to consider along the way, these roadmaps are a great place to start.
